A scholarship system which allows students to devote themselves to their studies.

Joto Japanese School have many different kinds of scholarships so that students can concentrate and learn with confidence, instead of having to feel financial anxiety.
There are various kinds of scholarships. Find a scholarship system which best suits you.


Joto Japanese School Scholarship

For students who are recognized to have excellent academic performance as well as excellent daily attitude after 6 months of admission, there is a School regulation which awards a scholarship or reduction in tuition fees. We make selections every 6 months.

1.Attendance Award

■ Perfect Attendance Award

Students with 100% attendance rate from admission to graduation

Given at the graduation ceremony JPY20,000

■ Good Attendance Award

Students with attendance rate more than 98% from admission to graduation.

Given at the graduation ceremony JPY10,000

2. Academic Award

Students with excellent grades in each Japanese Language Proficiency Test

Given at the graduation ceremony 10,000 yen

Given at the graduation ceremony 20,000 yen

■ Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students(EJU)

Students who performed excellent in EJU

Given at the graduation ceremony 30,000yen

3. Joto Award

Students whose test result and attitude are exemplary and approved by the committee.

Given at the graduation ceremony 10,000 yen

4. Excellent result for Universities and Graduate University Award

Students who passed the top universities or graduate universities

Given at the graduation ceremony JPY30,000~JPY100,000


Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology

Scholarships will be awarded by the selection for students who are studying the Japanese language on the premise of going on to further education in Japan, in the form of an learning incentive fee from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.

Target applicant

  • Persons who have obtained a student visa
  • Persons who are studying Japanese for the purpose of going on to advanced education in Japan
    Recommendations will be made at Joto Japanese School at the end of April of every year. Thereafter, if a scholarship is awarded, 30,000 JPY will be paid monthly for 12 months.
